bagia banchharam ki

had a nice evening yesterday day watching, Manoj Mitra's "Bagia Banchharam Ki", an evergreen comedy directed by Baharul Islam and translated in Hindi by Santwana Nigam. Presented by SRC Repertory at Sri Ram Center.
It was a unplanned treat, was at friends place when decided watch a play after a long time. Wasn't even sure how it would be, however a nice break was needed and risk paid off. the play was awesome, enjoyed every minute of it..
A thorough comedy, seemed like every character was veteran, one and half hours spend was better than few last movies i have watched. Dialogue delivery and direction was amazing.Everybody appreciated the act, each one of the audience was clapping after every 10 minutes.
It was unwinding and relaxing evening for me. The terrible headache was gone with in few minutes. Hope to catch more of them soon!

Indian Tricolor

The National Flag is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron (kesaria) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion. The ratio of width of the flag to its length is two to three. In the centre of the white band is a navy-blue wheel which represents the chakra. Its design is that of the wheel which appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka. Its diameter approximates to the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes. The design of the National Flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947.

Apart from non-statutory instructions issued by the Government from time to time, display of the National Flag is governed by the provisions of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 (No. 12 of 1950) and the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 (No. 69 of 1971). The Flag Code of India, 2002 is an attempt to bring together all such laws, conventions, practices and instructions for the guidance and benefit of all concerned.

Flag Code

On 26th January 2002, the flag code was changed. After 52 years, the citizens of India are free to fly the Indian flag over their homes, offices and factories on any day. Except some basic rules to follow while flying the flags, all other restrictions have been removed. Now Indians can proudly display the national flag any where and any time.
Mohan, 12 Feb 2002

There are some rules and regulations upon how to fly the flag, based on the 26 January 2002 legislation. These include the following:

The Do's

1.The National Flag may be hoisted in educational institutions (schools, colleges, sports camps, scout camps, etc.) to inspire respect for the Flag. An oath of allegiance has been included in the flag hoisting in schools.
2.A member of public, a private organization or an educational institution may hoist/display the National Flag on all days and occasions, ceremonial or otherwise consistent with the dignity and honour of the National Flag.
3.Section 2 of the new code accepts the right of all private citizens to fly the flag on their premises.

The Don'ts
1.The flag cannot be used for communal gains, drapery, or clothes. As far as possible, it should be flown from sunrise to sunset, irrespective of the weather.
2.The flag cannot be intentionally allowed to touch the ground or the floor or trail in water. It cannot be draped over the hood, top, and sides or back of vehicles, trains, boats or aircraft.
3.No other flag or bunting can be placed higher than the flag. Also, no object, including flowers or garlands or emblems can be placed on or above the flag. The tricolour cannot be used as a festoon, rosette or bunting.

As of January 26th, many have already started hoisting the flags at their premises. This new flag code would not have been made possible if it weren't for one Indian, Naveen Jindal, who had been constantly been arguing/fighting against the government and for the citizen's right for the free hoisting of flags.

Confessions of regretful mind @ RVS

I don't know what to do laugh about them, feel guilty or regret confessing them. But any ways they have been part of me as have been few accidents. Yeah they were incident accidents as they then may have given me thrill or it was part of being part of bunch of friends or maybe excessive energy then didnt find right vent ...lol..
I may have forgotten few of them, in due course of time will forget more of them but was surprised :) that few people remember me by those incidents....

Lot has changed from then I feel like Saint now..lol.. seems like i have lived few lives in this life..
I think the idea of telling them myself was inspired after reading a book by someone I really admire, love and look-up to, someone if somehow has even iota of influence on me I would be honored and obliged for my life and feel like worth living a life. He is father of my nation, India, Mahatma Gandhi.

So here goes list Confessions of Era gone past:

1. inspired a guy to ledge a preacher of history in the place to answer natures call

2. bunked and bunked and bunked till bunks seemed like holidays and lost the thrill of bunking and started so young that when other started bunking i preferred to sit in class or sleep.

3. inspired and taught people to roll...lol ...

4. someone took me by surprise when i was leisurely taking from his property what is so abundant in place called Saudi.. to my grace there were few friends who saved the grace ..whatever was ... but to my chagrin few of my then friends may be remembering me by these incidents...

5. threatened a soi-disant preacher of a subject which i liked a lot until it was taught by him since then its been a pain... still curse you man... u added one more weakness to the long list.. but i feel happy to save others from falling into same trap, I got him fired... :)

6. something i truly regret was rare but so uncool and unworthy ...lol ... under the confluence of company or being to curious tried to be a peeping tom... :(

7.

THE LIST IS LONG WILL TAKE FEW DAYS TO COMPILE IT
thanks

1980s Incidents which changed India

1.Bhagalpur blindings :refers to an incident in 1979 and 1980 in Bhagalpur in India when police blinded 31 undertrials (or convicted criminals, according to some versions), by pouring acid into their eyes. The incident became infamous as Bhagalpur blindings. The incident was widely debated and discussed by several human rights organisations.

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY

Account of Ariel Tragedies in Indian Skies:
I am by saddened death of YSR, CM of Andra Pradesh, India. At this unfortunate time I am astounded at number of crisis in India skies specially Copter/helicopter Accidents and moreover number of them have brought demise to Indian National Congress popular leaders.

I have tried to put the list in chronological order with cause of accident and toll of death and profile of the main person

1. S Kumaramangalam, a Congress leader, died in a plane crash in 1973 near New Delhi. Not much info is available on this one.served as minister for steel and mines in the Indira Gandhi Cabinet till his death in a plane crash.

2. Sanjay Gandhi (December 14, 1946 – June 23, 1980) as per wikipedia -- air crash - near Safdarjung Airport in New Delhi - flying a new aircraft of the Delhi Flying club, and, while performing a loop over his Office, lost control and crashed - Captain Subhas Saxena was also killed - went up in his Pitts S-2A aerobatic biplane despite an explicit prohibition by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation mere weeks before the crash - he was not rated to pilot, the DGCA, Air Marshal (Retd.) J. Zaheer, DGCA had, earlier, censured Gandhi for illegally piloting a commercial plane (with passengers)."

3.Madhavrao Scindia (10 March 1945–30 September 2001)- his private secretary Rupinder Singh, four journalists - Anju Sharma (Hindustan Times), Sanjiv Sinha (Indian Express), Ranjan Jha (Aaj Tak TV channel) and Gopal Bisht (Aaj Tak). The plane was piloted by Raj Gautam. The chartered plane, a 10-seater Cessna C-90 - identifier VTE--F - owned by the Jindal Group, took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at 1249 hours. bad weather, coupled with a possible cloud burst, probably caused the crash -the aircraft caught fire in mid-air and crashed into a thicket near bhainsroli village, about 22 km from mainpuri

4. G.M.C. Balayogi (October 1, 1951 – March 3, 2002)- Bell 206 helicopter -- crashed in Kaikalur in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday morning - An official probe established that the 2002 crash was caused when the pilot, unable to continue due to poor visibility and searching for an appropriate place to land, made an error of judgment by mistaking a pond to be a land surface. his personal assistant and the pilot died.went down into a pond after it developed technical snag and its blades hit an overhead wire.

5. O.P. Jindal (7th August 1930- 31st March 2005) Menghi village in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Cause: Engine malfunction. Surendra Singh were killed when the chopper carrying them went down near Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh March 31, 2005.

6. Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (8 July 1949 – 2 September 2009) On September 2, 2009 Bell 430 helicopter carrying YSR went missing in the Nallamala forest area. On the morning of 3 September, 2009, helicopter was found crashed on top of Rudrakonda Hill, 40 nautical miles from Kurnool -- his special secretary P Subrahmanyam, chief security officer ASC Wesley, Group Captain SK Bhatia and Captain MS Reddy.

We can analysis it in different perspective but the aim of this blog was just give an account of incidences.

Voltas of TATA deserves a Bata

If I was to name best Indian company it would definitely be TATA. I even admire all those great personalities who have run the show at TATA till now...
BUT when its come to there cooling system venture Voltas it becomes totally uncool... Sort of pity them... So evident theme of TATA value for money transforms only into junk for money...anything but value.. As i can remember one of their ad campaign says 'chota kare bade ka kaam' but as a matter of fact it should be 'voltas kare garmi se paresan'... & another one says 'apka koi sapna pura ho na ho apka AC ka sapna jaroor pura hoga' and it should better be 'apka kuch chale ya na chale apka AC nahi chalega'.
All of you must be wondering why am I sounding so bitter.. Its because recently we thought of trying Voltas for office (backstabbing Hitachi which is so dependable at home)...
India oldest AC brand... and got them thanks to their omnipresent ads these days... It wasn't even a week of usage that one of them stop cooling... Not a problem .. Lodged a complaint ... Their repairman came... thanks too him instead of being able to repair the faulty one... the working one... stoped too...
The trail just the begin... when we follow up...Voltas customer care was so amazing and busy, they would pick up the call ask you to wait, talk & laugh in background AND disconnect the calls... The process was repeated four times... till the Gentlemen had mercy on us only to inform that it would be looked into... When asked about his seniors the guy says they are on leave... Moreover he doesn't even have number of head-office.. and THE CALL GETS DISCONNECTED
I guess i have said enough... You wanna hear what happened next lemme know..."AGAR APKA SAB KUCH BHI CHALEGA TAB BHI APKA VOLTAS NAHI CHALEGA" lol

Moonwalk

King of Pop sadly is not with us anymore...
The guy whose life has as much turn as his break dance has had his final turn :-( ...Too be frank I wasn't ever fan of his or liked him though i was completed awed by his dance, music & stage presence.:-) Few Unscrupulous things disgraced him and that's why I am not a fan of his though in awe of his talent.. .

Anyways he left too soon he was just 50..was going to perform for the last time in London..and was coming up with the album ''this is it''... We all would miss you MJ...MAY U REST IN PEACE... AMEN!!
I think best thing about him was his Moonwalk...oh it captivates you.. Holds you.. Makes you smile.. Makes you move.. it was MJs signature...
And I love it for two reasons... one i have talked about above... And the second is its on my home-nickname MOON ....HAHAhehe.. Sounding hilarious...whatever... Thanks anyways MJ... Bless you...
In this week MJs death has been biggest news across globe ..its been talked even more than recession..bread & butter..sex..wars..oil or global warming... People who have never heard of him know him in death.. Fans who once would have got his pirated records and help him go bankrupt, are lighting candles, media which once made fun of him suddenly it has again made him hero from fallen hero thanks to media again...
Irony... I don't know how many people have thought about it.. but irony is there would be companies and people cashing on his death.. Music record companies who may be deliberately making it bigger news..benefactor who never cared about him... Life is strange..
MJ people love you here and you would always be remembered...

Global Warming

Personally my biggest concern these days...
This year we have seen harshest of climate... Delayed monsoon in India.. Summer breaking mercury records... Glaciers melting at faster pace...rivers drying up...too much pollution, inefficient industries, negligible water treatment, no good ground water refill...
Where are we leading ourselves..

*Are those so famous cultures of world cant make people care about ecology
*Is the governments' only concern is inflation and recession so that it comes again in power
*Is our education only about earning money, how can people passed out of college ask such question as what can we do...tell us..
*Is it amusing for the rich, uncool for youth, not a matter of concern to the poor
*Are our elders only wanting us to respect them and not talk about sex
*Isn't it a issue for people living in ACs
*Isn't people without AC too contributing to it...
*If govt can control press, education, Rights, sexuality, alcohol, drugs Shouldn't it control ecology, pollution, hummer, deforestation too...
*Is it only for NGOs'
*Are we too forgetful to think about it in summer and laugh about it in the rains and forget in winters that whats waiting for us in summers

*ARE WE PLANING TO LEAVE EARTH IN YEARS TO COME!!!
